do you feel like that sometimes? right now i'm sitting in my office/craft room/ironing room/hubby's play room. yeah, exactly. a lot going on in a small room. something will have to be done about this.....tomorrow.

tonight i wanted to say hey. i have been informed that i was assumed missing because of the long absence. no need to worry people. still here. i have however been coasting the past few days. you know where laundry piles up and e-mails don't get answered and you can't remember what the floor in your bedroom looks like? i know this may come as a shock to some of you (jroo) but this does happen every once in a while. although i love to clean, that's right love, i zone out now and then. things like magazines and general laziness take over. i don't know why it just happens. this is also bad because although i dearly love my hubby, keeping things clean and organized is one of the few things we have in common. sad i know, but a fact. so needless to say when this happens to me the state of the union is unbalanced. i say all this to brag a little on my hubby. last night i freaked out. going on about my life and how i'm not doing anything meaningful (ya know adopting 10 kids or saving the world) and how i'm not doing what i really want to do.....generally just throwing myself a big 'ole pity party, and he was right there. trying to pick up my "poor baby" pieces. and then tonight he did the dishes and let me watch my show while a game was on. i have it really good. i have a person that while he may never understand, just being real here, he does try to accept and listen. that is rare. so i just wanted to say that i am thankful and maybe there is someone in your life like that. maybe they don't live with you or even live in the same town but i truly hope that you have a least one person in your life that is there for you.

  1. Just wanted to pop in and say hi! I've enjoyed reading about your move and getting settled in Germany. I hope you'll love it there -- TheManofTheHouse and I lived there many years ago when we were in exactly your situation -- before kids. We lived in Hanau. At first I worked in the test center and eventually I got a civil service job in Frankfurt. I know it's changed a lot, but we loved it there. TheManofTheHouse was gone to the field a lot, so I just had to get out and do things on my own. The nice thing was, in Germany it's totally acceptable to take your dog anywhere with you, so I did that -- he was my companion! Go have a brotchen and a great big bratwurst for me -- I miss them!!!

  2. Hi, just wanted to let you know that I love your writings. Check mine out I started tonight. I am glad that you have that someone in your life and I am glad and proud that your someone is my son. I love you and miss you.

  3. Hey chica! So glad to hear from you! I know you have a lot to sort through with all your "stuff." You know I have ugh days too. Had one today. Got a really bad haircut in fact. My first since you left. It's fine, just NOT AT ALL what I asked for. I am sure I will blog about it...lol.

  4. You are lucky to have that special someone to love you and let you be 'there,' when 'there' is confusing. You are going to find that niche and you know where it is just get up off your lazy buhaonkus and get going.
