paris IIII

The Louvre is where i think hubby really wanted to go. have seen in in movies and everything. also the Mona Lisa isn't too shabby either! you can take your camera into most of the museums areas but not the really important areas. in fact we saw a guy get in trouble for trying to take a picture of the Mona Lisa. there is a person guarding her at all times. i told hubby to me it's kind of cool that you can't take those pictures. it makes it special to see it with your own eyes. i don't know about you but i don't know that many people who can say they have seen it up close. very cool.

this is one of the huge buildings that surround the pyramid.

hubby...

i loved this old man. he just sat there forever just watching all that was going on around him.

in front of the pyramid was this cool infinity edge fountain...

the pyramid looking up from inside...

lots of people....

some cool looking signs....

this was the stairway up to the museum part...

and back down....

that's the louvre....
i know i have used this word a lot already but the massiveness of everything is amazing. everything is really grand, and fancy and gold everywhere. i loved it. if you ever get the chance to go to paris you must take it.

  1. Ah, the Mona Lisa. Were you surprised at how small she is? I remember that is what struck me most about her. And that pyramid? Not sure I like it -- it wasn't there when we visited. It just looks too modern for the surrounding buildings -- to my eye anyway. The concept is cool though...Great pictures!
